Gallery 1065 welcomes proposals from collectives, artist groups, and individual artists. The space can be rented out for events, both private and public. All events held at gallery 1065 are subject to review, and must be accompanied by a proposal. Exhibitions run for a two-week period, although longer shows may be arranged. The gallery charges a rental fee, but encourages artists and groups to seek out project grants from various government and art funding agencies to cover all or some of their costs.

Suitable for larger exhibitions, panel discussions, artist talks, small conferences, launch parties, receptions and more. The Main Gallery can accommodate up to 60 people seated and up to 100 people standing.

$250/day
$1500/10day shows from Friday to Sunday including two weekends

Submissions
Only when there is a Call for Submissions:
Please provide clear photos of your pieces, exactly as they will be displayed in the show (for example, include the frame if your piece is framed). Please ensure all files are named with your info as follows: "ARTISTNAME_ARTWORKTITLE.jpg"
Pieces must be ready to hang with proper hanging hardware already attached. Works on paper must be framed. Work that is at risk to be damaged may be accepted at the artist's own risk. Wall-hanging artwork must be able to hang from a single nail (some exceptions may apply).
Pieces must be under 20" on the longest side, including framing, or they will be subject to an oversize fee. Oversized pieces may not exceed 48" on the longest side.
Painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media art, and sculpture are all acceptable mediums.
There is a $35 hanging fee for the first piece. Every additional piece accepted is $10, oversized pieces will be charged an additional $10 (over 20" on the longest side, including framing).
Artists working in sculpture should be prepared to provide or arrange their own display units.
All pieces must be for sale. Please list prices in CAD.
EXHIBITION DETAILS:
Drop off: two days before the exhibition
Pick up: day after the exhibition
The gallery takes a 30% commission on sales.
Artwork must be picked up on the pickup date, the gallery cannot store artworks past this day.

Eligibility: This call for artists is open to all artists. Painting, drawing, mixed media, and sculpture are all acceptable mediums. This call is open to local and non-local artists! Artists may submit from anywhere in the world and accepted pieces can be sent in via mail or courier. All shipping costs will be the responsibility of the artist. If this applies to you, please let us know in your submission so that we can notify you with time to ship if you have been accepted.
